Bad day

You guys. Bad day, you guys. Real bad day at work.

Medical 911 calls don't bother me much. Don't get me wrong, I feel empathy for the patient and the family but in my line of work we have to move on from one call to the next. We can't let a previous call affect the next. But you guys, this one will stick with me. I can't go into details but a child died. It was senseless. The person responsible will likely be charged. But all I keep thinking of is that poor child shouldn't have died because of a careless bag of shit taking care of it.

There are so many of us out there that would be amazing parents. Sometimes it's just not fair.

    That has to be such a difficult job to be in. *hugs* Hope you can keep your mind off of it. Some people are just so evil.

    Thanks. Yes it can be difficult for us, especially because we rarely get closure. We hardly ever know what the end of the call is. The ones who really have it rough are the officers and paramedics. They actually have to *see* it. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
