IUI was this morning at around 9:45. DH produces his part about an hour earlier while at work and I took it in immediately for processing.
Funny side note: He made his deposit in a football stadium bathroom and as he handed it to me, he said, "I'm pretty sure it's frowned upon to get off during work hours. It's probably in the policy and procedures book."
True. It's probably frowned upon like masturbating on an airplane. (If you get that movie reference, you win 100 cool points.)
His total count was 233 million with 66% motile. Post wash was 49 million, so like always, those are fantastic numbers. IUIs usually require at least 5 million motile sperm. Yeah, we've got that part covered. Swim boys, SWIM!
According to Dr A, my part looks great. My mucous is lovely. I don't know why it always amazes me when he makes the med students look at that. With everything else, they're focused on him and the US, but he always makes a point to direct them to my beautiful ovulatory CM. Awesome. Come on down, people. It's a party down here between my legs.
Hello Dildo Cam!
After the catheter was inserted and IUI finished, he did a US to check out my follies, or lack there of.
Before I tell you about that, let me tell you about yesterday evening. Around 4 pm, my belly started hurting. My entire abdomen felt worse as the hours went into the night. I couldn't even sit down because when I sat, it felt like my innards had to adjust and slosh around for a minute before they started easing up. I swear my ovaries and other parts were swollen and so filled with fluid that I couldn't even lay down or sit without feeling like bowling balls were inside me.
I've never experience ovulation pains like that. It was intense.
Fast forward to today and as he's digging around with his dildo cam, he said "Did you have any pain over the weekend?"
PAIN IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
Ummmm, yes I did. The O pains were crazy bad.
Dr A: "That's because all three follies released."
::cue freak out. Some one check to make sure my heart's still beating. Am I in cardiac arrest? No? Ok. Good::
We knew it was a chance that all three would release. And the chance of all three implanting is less than 5% but still.
We would be ecstatic with a singleton, delighted with twins and momentarily shocked and excited for triplets.
At this point, I'm just hoping for one o fertilize and implant. That would be my miracle. Anything beyond that is a bonus!
Since the doctors appointment, I've been calling pharmacies to price out Crinone. It's a progesterone gel that is supposed to help with my spotting during LP. It's crazy expensive when compared to the regular progesterone pill I was on last month. Two weeks worth is another $200+ and that's the cheapest quote I have from Freedom Fertility. Every other local pharmacy ranges from $250-420!!!
FYI, don't go to Walgreens or Walmart for it. Target is cheapest locally.
And now, we wait. This may be our last 2ww for IF treatments. Until we make a decision, I leave you with a pic of my legs propped up as I marinate after the IUI.
Now everyone has seen my legs and where the magic happens, it is officially a party down there!!!
